   sometimes i lose sense about what’s going on around me, what am i actually thinking or actively/physically doing with my brain, my hands, my eyes, my body. do i see anything or am i just a blank stare with a 1,000 different ideas floating around in my head. i miss exits a lot on the highway now. i begin to imagine a scenario, a scene, an event, past, present, future and always the what ifs. before long, i’m gone. adrift. too far from shore. and then i think….shit. either i was supposed to miss that exit or i need to get my head out of the clouds. 

   but sometimes, it’s just nicer, easier, calmer to have it (my head) there (the clouds). because at least then there is something more than routine. and at least then i’m actually standing up for myself. or imaging how i could one day. or maybe just wanting to have a reason to be right, to be justified….which is false, i know i’m justified in a lot of conversations or actions, even if it leads to a fallout, but here i’m FREE to say no and mean it. and free to exploit my frustrations and to be heard. and i don’t have to worry about fucking logic and being critiqued and accept me. 

   i tell you. having your head in the clouds is a breath of fresh air.
